The Only Choice

In May, 2011, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) approved Reklaim's carbon black and oil technology and products for commercialization in the U.S. under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA). We believe Reklaim is the first and only company to gain these approvals to date. As such, only Reklaim has the necessary regulatory approvals to legally sell carbon black recovered from scrap tires using a pyrolysis process. Importantly, Reklaim's EPA approval is expressly limited to its patent-pending technology and its specific products. Any potential competitor using a different pyrolysis technology would have to go through the same rigorous process that Reklaim has successfully completed. Further, any potential competitor attempting to use the same technology would almost unavoidably impinge on our patent rights and priority dates.

Following EPA's decision, we began to manufacture and sell both carbon black and oil from our processing plant in Boardman, Oregon, which is located about one hundred miles up the Columbia River from Portland.
